Richard Abel, M.D.

Doctor Richard Abel is a graduate of the Georgetown University School of Medicine (Washington, D.C.) where he was awarded the Jacobi Society Certificate of Merit for Proficiency in Pediatrics. After progressing from an internship to Chief Resident in Pediatrics at Emory University Hospital, Doctor Abel served as a Senior Medical Officer in the United States Navy in Argentia, Newfoundland. His extensive certifications include diplomas from the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Pediatrics. Doctor Abel served as Instructor of Pediatrics at Emory University prior to joining Children's Medicine of Rockdale.

Faith Hightower, C.P.N.P., M.S., R.N.

Faith Hightower began her career in children's healthcare after reeiving her Bachelor's degree from the Georgia Baptist College of Nursing in 2000. Her education continued at Georgia State University where she earned her Master's degree specializing in Child Health Nursing in 2005. In that same time, she gained a wealth of real-world experience in a variety of nursing positions, with emphasis on pediatric immediate / emergency care at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Most recently, Faith was a staff RN for the NICU / Special Care Nursery at Crawford Long Medical Center.

Terri Wood-Cummings, M.D.

Doctor Terri Wood-Cummings began her career as a Pediatrician in 1994 and has been working in the Atlanta area ever since. Her education began at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1984 and continued at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, where she earned her Doctorate of Medicine in 1990.

She currently resides in Grayson, Georgia with her husband and two young children. As the newest member of the Children's Medicine of Rockdale team, Dr. Wood-Cummings looks forward to developing long-term relationships with both new and existing patients as part of our commitment to excellence in children's healthcare.
